Do I need private hire insurance to drive for a booking app?: Yes. Ordinary car insurance excludes hire and reward, so you need a private hire policy that matches your licence and vehicle before you accept paid journeys.
Can I use my private hire car for social driving?: Most private hire policies include social, domestic and pleasure use, but this must be confirmed on the schedule. We check it on every quote we present.
